Rodrigo Muniz and a Tottenham star – Three players Leeds could sign for free in 2026

Leeds United need to be planning ahead for future transfer windows.

Leeds failed to make the most of the summer transfer window this time around, though the hope will be that the current squad has more than enough to at least see them compete until January, where more additions could be made.

Should that be the case, and if Leeds can seal Premier League survival this season, they will look to kick on in the following campaign and potentially splash more cash.

However, with a whole host of players coming to the end of their contract enxt summer, MOT Leeds News takes a look at several who Leeds could target on a free transfer.

Rodrigo Muniz unlikely to stay at Fulham

Leeds’ summer pursuit of Rodrigo Muniz was well documented, and that interest isn’t likely to go away as long as they can retain their Premier League status.

As things stand, the Fulham forward’s contract expires in the summer of 2026, though it is somewhat unlikely that they will let him get to that stage.

Fulham are believed to hold the option of a contract extension, while also being able to move the forward on in January if the chance emerges.

Depending on Leeds’ situation, they could revisit the deal in January, or chance their arms on being able to sign him for free next summer.

Harry Wilson move to Leeds collapsed on deadline day

Leeds were working around the clock to bring Harry Wilson in on deadline day, though the deal fell through at the very last minute, for reasons unknown.

With that said, the Welshman is another Fulham player whose contract expires next summer, and he is one who may appear unlikely to be handed a lengthy extension.

Fulham have the option of extending his deal by a year, and that may be something they consider before then cashing in on the winger.

Wilson has featured in all four games for Fulham so far this season, but has yet to register a goal contribution.

Yves Bissouma would be a superb addition at Elland Road

Back in June, Yves Bissouma was linked with a move to Leeds, though nothing came of the links, with the Whites moving on to other targets.

However, with uncertainty still lingering over his future at Tottenham, there is a high likelihood that he will be allowed to leave for free, unless a late move materialises this summer.

Turkish clubs have been queuing up for his signature, and with their window open for another week, a chance to move on from North London may emerge.

Though if not, Leeds would simply have to consider this addition next summer.
