Raheem Sterling open to transfer as Leeds United want marquee signing
Leeds United have an opportunity to sign Raheem Sterling for free after terminating his Chelsea contract by mutual consent.
Sterling is seen as a marquee signing at Elland Road, with the 82-cap England international boasting four Premier League titles in his trophy cabinet.
The 31-year-old has had a tumultuous few years since moving to Stamford Bridge, and he’s now on the lookout for a new club.
49ers Enterprises are looking for market opportunities to reinforce Daniel Farke’s squad, and the English winger may fit that criteria.

Leeds United must convince Raheem Sterling
Sterling is open to any opportunity that comes his way after leaving Chelsea, Dean Jones says.
The TEAMtalk journalist claims that sources close to the England international have admitted he hasn’t yet decided what the future holds.
With the Elland Road hierarchy already finding success with free transfers for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha in the summer, they could potentially be encouraged to take a chance on the former Liverpool and Manchester City star.
Speaking to TEAMtalk on 29 January, Jones said, “The main briefing out of sources close to the player is that he is open to everything at this stage, so that he can make a very informed decision.”
Farke will be confident of avoiding Premier League relegation this season after the West Yorkshire outfit’s recent run of form.
Given the high likelihood that the Peacocks will maintain their top-flight status, they may be able to convince Sterling.
Daniel Farke already hints at Raheem Sterling position at Elland Road
Brenden Aaronson is thriving under Farke, with the USMNT star playing alongside Calvert-Lewin up front.
Noah Okafor has also been deployed in a more central position of late, with the German manager shifting to a flexible 5-3-2 formation at Leeds.

The Englishman will surely provide an added dimension to the West Yorkshire outfit’s attack with his pace and dribbling ability, but it remains to be seen whether they will sign him.
