Physical transformation of one Leeds player during lockdown is incredible – MOT View

Jean-Kevin Augustin has had a slow start since signing for Leeds United in January and in his few outings for the first team and the Under-23s he’s looked heavy.

Heavy in the legs and heavy of body – he was even nicknamed Big Kev on his arrival.

However, he’s been keeping Leeds fans abreast of his training routines on Instagram since lockdown, although Augustin has also been getting special treatment at Thorp Arch.

And his physical transformation has been incredible.

The official Leeds site posted an update on Friday and you can see for yourself the change that he’s made since his hamstring injury.

The video shows him putting himself through some punishing routines and he looks like a completely different person to the one who arrived in January.

Augustin hadn’t played much football this season before he signed for Leeds.

Things didn’t work out at Monaco on loan and he only started two Ligue 1 games.

Signing a player without match fitness was always going to be a gamble but it looks like Augustin is determined to make a success of himself at Leeds, and that’s brilliant news for the club.

He’s a player who had the world at his feet a few years ago and he probably recognises Marcelo Bielsa as the one man who can get his career back on track.

If he does – and he looks super fit and raring to go now – Leeds will have picked themselves up a real bargain.

Fans might have to come up with a new nickname for him, though.
