Phil Hay stats reveal shows overreliance on Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison

Phil Hay has recently shared Leeds United statistics that show an overreliance on Jack Harrison which may not be ideal for Jesse Marsch.

In his Athletic piece, Hay reveals that the English attacker leads the stats for the Whites for most chances, most big chances created, most crosses, most dribbles and most shot-creating actions.

While it’s good to have a player who’s reliable in the final third, Marsch cannot put all his eggs in this basket as there are no guarantees of anybody’s consistency or fitness.

Leeds saw last season how injuries can ravage an entire campaign and bring the club on the brink of relegation.

Harrison has luckily not had any concerns this time around, but if he does miss a few games, the Whites could be found looking for answers.

Brenden Aaronson is an extremely creative player and it’s time that Marsch asks his side to vary attacks and hand the ball to the American in dangerous situations.

He’s created just 10 chances to Harrison’s 19 which is a tad surprising as one would expect Aaronson to be the creator-in-chief with Harrison being the one to apply the finishing touches.

Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo’s injuries have also not helped the side too much as it’s led to Marsch constantly changing the positions of his four attacking players.

Another concern is that if the opposition puts a man marker on Harrison and completely marks him out of the game, someone else will need to step up and the stats reveal that it’s a big problem and the manager needs to sort this out quickly.

In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
