Patrick Bamford will be fearing for his Leeds United future after Viktor Gyokeres report emerges
Patrick Bamford will be looking to prove himself for the remainder of the campaign after reports emerged that Leeds United are interested in signing Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres.
According to a report from TEAMtalk [21 February], the Whites want to sign the 24-year-old who has been in sensational form in the Championship this season.
Heavily regarded as one of the best forwards outside the Premier League, having netted 14 goals and provided four assists in all competitions for Coventry so far this season, the Swede is reportedly hot on the trails of several top-flight clubs.

Premier League rivals Everton and Brentford have also been named in the hunt for the striker [TEAMtalk 21 February].
Coventry slapped a price tag of £25m on his head during the January window and revealed they received no bids [Coventry Telegraph, 9 January], but he will be entering the final year of his contract at the club this summer.
The Whites according to reports [TEAMtalk, 21 February] are still plotting a move for the forward, regardless of whether the club suffer relegation and Gracia stays at the helm, as they see him as a key addition both in the English top-flight or the Championship.
While the club can’t be blamed for attempting to sign such a consistent marksman, current Leeds United star Bamford could well be fearing for his future and will certainly have a whole lot to prove to the club board that he should remain the club’s main man moving forward.
The 29-year-old hasn’t been able to return to his form of previous years after suffering a string of injury issues which has certainly frustrated the club fans and board alike.
Bamford just has recorded just one goal and two assists to his name this season, following another dreadful campaign last term where he only managed two goals from nine matches in an injury-plagued campaign.

If the Elland Road faithful had the chance to pick what option they’d go for, whether to sign Gyokeres or stick with their cult hero, they’d arguably go for the former right now which will be incredibly concerning for Bamford.
He has a lot to prove in the coming months as the Whites look to secure another season in the Premier League.
In other Leeds United news, the club are now leading the race to sign an in-demand young attacking talent from a European giant.
