Patrick Bamford ‘set for Leeds United exit’ amid latest transfer development

Patrick Bamford has had a troubled time at Leeds United recently, but it appears he is now out of their plans for good.

Leeds are enjoying a remarkable campaign and look all but destined for a Premier League return, though Bamford has played little to no part in that success.

With a series of injury troubles, Bamford has barely featured for the Whites this season, making just 10 appearances and failing to find the net once in that time.

Bamford was mooted for a winter exit from Leeds, though no move materialised in the end but with the latest transfer development, his exit is certainly approaching.

Leeds United eye Tammy Abraham deal

With promotion looking almost nailed on at this point, Leeds need to have one eye on the Premier League in order to give themselves the best chance of survival should they achieve a return.

According to TBR, they appear to be doing just that amid links to Tammy Abraham.

While it would be an ambitious signing, it is one that would surely end the future of Bamford at Leeds, with it already looking incredibly dull.

Joel Piroe has been the go-to striker this season, and even he will likely fall down the pecking order if a deal for Abraham is to happen in the summer.

Quite frankly, securing a permanent exit for Bamford has to be a priority in the summer, with or without the addition of Abraham.

Tammy Abraham would be a huge signing for Leeds

Quite literally, it would be a massive deal for Leeds should they be able to pull it off, although any chance is likely to hinge on their ability to get promoted.

Abraham has an incredible pedigree and reputation for scoring goals and his experience will be just what Leeds need in order to avoid a drop back into the Championship.

Ambition will need to be shown in the summer, and a failure to showcase that will only end badly for the Whites who will be fully aware of the gulf in quality across the two divisions.
