Patrick Bamford could be reunited with former Leeds star after latest transfer news from Sheffield
Patrick Bamford could be set to face off against one of his former Leeds United teammates.
Leeds United have transformed their squad over the last few years, and with 10 new signings in the summer, Bamford was one of those to lose his place.
Given the lack of gametime he was going to get, and the concerns over his fitness record, both parties agreed to terminate the Englishman’s contract, allowing him to find a new club.
Earlier this week, Bamford joined Sheffield United on a deal until January, and he could be set to face off against a former teammate of his.

Liam Cooper set for return to English football
Liam Cooper departed Leeds in 2024, before joining Bulgarian outfit CSKA Sofia on a free transfer.
The Scotsman was a regular at Elland Road for several years, but as his contract expiry drew closer, his gametime reduced significantly each season.
However, just a year after moving away from English football, Cooper could be on his way back to the EFL, with Andy Giddings reporting on Saturday that he is expected to join Sheffield Wednesday.
The Owls had been under a transfer embargo, though the EFL have since granted them permission to sign free agents.
Sheffield United face Sheffield Wednesday in the Steel City Derby next Sunday, meaning Bamford and Cooper could be reunited on the pitch.
Liam Cooper to join extensive list with Sheffield Wednesday transfer
If the move goes through as expected, Cooper will become one of many players to have represented both Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday.
Other names include Ian Poveda, Carlton Palmer and Barry Bannan, the latter of whom is still at Hillsborough today and playing a crucial role.

Ross Barkley is another surprise inclusion in the list, having spent time at both clubs on loan in 2012 and 2013.
Bamford and Cooper spent six years together at Elland Road, and will no doubt welcome the challenge of playing against each other.
