Norwich embarrass themselves with Daniel Farke post in draw v Leeds United

Norwich City have embarrassed themselves on social media after refusing to name Daniel Farke during the 1-1 draw with Leeds United.

The Whites travelled to Carrow Road on Tuesday 1 October but could only take away a point as Largie Ramazani scored a second-half equaliser.

Late in the day against the Canaries, Farke picked up a yellow card from the referee which Norwich reacted to on X.

They said: “Yellow card for the Leeds head coach.”

Norwich City embarrass themselves in Daniel Farke post

It is bizarre to see the official social media of the Canaries make a post like this about their former manager who did so well with them.

The German head coach secured two promotions from the Championship in his time with the club and was unfortunate to suffer one relegation from the Premier League.

Norwich sacked Farke and replaced him with Dean Smith but the former Aston Villa manager couldn’t stop them from suffering another relegation.

With that being said, it seems strange to see his former club refuse to name him calling him just the “Leeds head coach” instead.

It is just disrespectful to a manager who helped carry the club into the top division, something the Canaries hadn’t done since 2015.

Farke didn’t leave on his own accord, being relieved of his duties by the club which only makes this disrespectful post more strange.

The Whites boss is likely looking forward to the clash at Elland Road against his former side to grab all three points.
