MOT View: Three things learned from Leeds video ahead of Chelsea clash

Leeds United welcome Chelsea to Elland Road on Saturday afternoon in their latest Premier League clash.

The Whites will be looking for revenge in the latest instalment of this rivalry, with the away side winning 3-1 in the reverse fixture back in December.

Marcelo Bielsa will want to inflict the first defeat on Thomas Tuchel since the German arrived to replace Frank Lampard.

Leeds United

Leeds have released a training video on their YouTube channel ahead of the game on Saturday, and there were numerous updates.

MOT Leeds News have picked out three things learned from the update…

Kiko Casilla AWOL.

The Spaniard has taken to social media this week and has hit back at fans for their so-called lack of respect over the past year. After his racism charge in the Championship, Casilla can count himself lucky that he wasn’t shipped away, although that looks like it could be coming. Phil Hay has claimed that Leeds are likely to sell him on this summer, and are already preparing for that. Casilla was missing from this training video, with Illan Meslier joined by Elia Caprile; good riddance.

Koch in full training

The German international is back. Bielsa claimed in his latest press conference that he could feature in the under-23s clash against Newcastle on Monday. On this evidence though, Koch is back in full training, and not just gym or indoor work. Seeing him back out on the grass in perfect news, and brilliant for our squad depth moving forward. This won’t see him ready for tomorrow, but he should be back for the trip to Fulham.

Roberts in the mix

With Rodrigo returning, there have been strong calls for the Spaniard to replace Tyler Roberts in that playmaker role against the Blues. The Welsh international could be set for another chance though, with his training potential dropping a hint. With the squad in groups passing the ball between them, the young attacker was with Patrick Bamford and Raphinha, the two biggest attacking influences in the squad as it stands. It may not please fans but prepare for at least one more Roberts start.
