MOT View: Mateusz Klich could be bombed out of Leeds United after clear Jesse Marsch spat v Crystal Palace

Leeds United picked up another valuable point in the Premier League on Monday evening at Crystal Palace.

The goalless draw was fiesty to say the least, but there weren’t many chances at either end at Selhurst Park.

Jesse Marsch didn’t have many options off the bench, but was forced into a clear tactical change at half-time to stem the flow of the home side.

Mateusz Klich was dragged off for Robin Koch.

At first, this just looks like a clear defensive change, but it looks as though there is much more than meets the eye.

A video shared on Twitter by LUFC Lewis shows a clear spat between Klich and Marsch, with something clearly not right.

Marsch mentioned after the game that there were certain players who are struggling to leave Marcelo Bielsa’s methods behind.

That is his famous man-marking style, with the American going for more of a zonal style when sending his teams out.

Given that it was Klich sacrificed at the break, followed by this video, it is easy to put two and two together.

Bombed out.

Marsch isn’t going to sit and let players walk all over him, and could we now see a bigger role for Koch between now and the end of the season?

This could lead to the Polish international being bombed out of the club in the upcoming summer, with Adam Forshaw returning and new signings targeted.

Klich has been one of the success stories at Elland Road in recent years after coming back from rock bottom, but it looks as though it could be coming to an end.

This new system has two holding midfielders, and it is clear that he wants to be further forward, something Marsch may have warned him about here.

With the end of the season fastly approaching, this is certainly one to watch should we stay in the Premier League, of course.
