MOT View: Crysencio Summerville could have played final game for Leeds United after latest injury
Leeds United have confirmed that young winger Crysencio Summerville will miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury, and that could be that for his Elland Road career.
The young Dutch starlet has shone for the Under-23’s squad this season and was given his Premier League debut under Marcelo Bielsa earlier in the season during their injury crisis.
But since players began to return, the 20-year-old has found himself on the sidelines more often than not.

He was linked with a January exit on loan, with Bundesliga clubs and even Rangers tipped to bring him in to bolster their squads.
However Bielsa was adamant that the young players should be made to stay at the club as their development was better served at Thorp Arch than elsewhere.
A deal never materialised and Summerville stayed in the youth team for the most part until the arrival of Jesse Marsch at the end of February.
The American coach name-checked Summerville as one of the young players to impress him most in training with the first-team, and he was officially promoted to the first-team shortly after.
The form of Raphinha, Jack Harrison, Daniel James and Rodrigo however has seen him get just seven minutes of first-team action.
The player himself made it clear that he wanted to be playing more regularly in January and now that isn’t happening, a summer deal is almost certain.
The issue for Leeds is that he has just one year remaining on his current contract and without the guarantees of more playing time, he has no reason to extend that deal.
An ankle injury means he will have no more opportunities this season and if the club stay in the Premier League you can expect the squad to be bolstered in the transfer market.
That would likely affect his chances too, and it could mean we’ve already seen the last of him in a white shirt.
