MOT View: Agent backs Man United ace for Leeds move, Whites should look elsewhere

A Premier League agent has claimed that Manchester United left-back Brandon Williams should have moved to Leeds United.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer moving to secure Alex Telles behind Luke Shaw, this agent claimed that Willaims shouldn’t be third choice.

Solskjaer has many options at Old Trafford, and Leeds are short on rotation options down the left-hand side of the field.

The agent claimed that certain younger players will be looking to force a move elsewhere, although there were no suggestions Williams would do the same.

“Younger lads that didn’t go on loan will force a move,” they told The Athletic.

“The Carabao Cup is out of the window for the next two months as the rounds have already been played. Brandon Williams doesn’t want to be No 3 left-back at United.

“He would be absolutely mental to not go somewhere like Leeds or Southampton. Or a top-half Championship club.”

Marcelo Bielsa will be happy with Stuart Dallas at left-back, given his great start to life in the Premier League this season.

The 29-year-old has been everywhere in his four appearances, completing four tackles a game – something only Kalvin Phillips and Luke Ayling can better according to WhoScored.

Compare that to Williams, he only made just over one tackle per game, but still ended up picking up six yellow cards – not good enough.

Long gone are the days where Leeds may need to go looking at Old Trafford for help, and this suggested loan move would and should never happen.
