Mixed emotions for Daniel Farke as 17 Leeds United players called up for international duty
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has already had plenty of emotions during his brief spell at Elland Road so far.
The boss has witnessed several senior players move on, as well as witnessing several more suffer from various injuries.
And in terms of results, there have been a lot of ups and downs, although recent form has helped send the Whites to fifth place in the Championship table.

But the man in the dugouts looks set to undergo another emotional rollercoaster in the coming weeks, with a huge total of 17 Leeds players called up by their respective countries for the latest international break, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post (9 October).
The publication noted that seven of those players currently play under Michael Skubala for the club’s Under-21 outfit.
First and foremost, first-team boss Farke should be feeling an overwhelming sense of pride at the call-up list, with not many clubs boasting such a tally.
It proves just how well the senior side are doing right now, and indeed just how impressive the youth setup at Leeds is.

However, a feeling of angst will also undoubtedly slip into Farke’s thoughts, with the manager desperate not to lose any of his players to injury over the coming weeks.
He does have a big squad to choose from, but the full group will be needed if the Whites are to have any chance of being promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Versatile ace Stuart Dallas is perhaps the manager’s main injury woe right now, but he has already had to play large parts of the season without some key men, and so will want all of his international icons to return home without a scratch.
In other Leeds United news, an international manager has shared a “positive” update on one Whites ace amid a “hugely frustrating” injury.
