Mateusz Klich will be planning Leeds United exit after seeing Archie Gray and Darko Gyabi progress
Mateusz Klich has spent five years at Leeds United but has fallen down Jesse Marsch’s pecking order at Elland Road this season.
Klich joined Leeds from FC Twente back in 2017 and became a pivotal part of Marcelo Bielsa’s promotion-winning side in Yorkshire.
But the 32-year-old is slowly dropping down the pecking order since the Argentine left Elland road, and Marsch doesn’t seem to keen on handing the Poland international a start.

He’s played just 151 minutes for the Whites this season, with his longest cameo so far coming in a 31 minutes spell against Brentford during the 5-2 defeat.
If alarm bells weren’t already ringing for Klich regarding his game time, he’ll be even more concerned when he sees the young talents coming through the ranks at Thorp Arch.
Archie Gray is one of the most highly-rated young stars at Leeds, and Marsch seems set on promoting him to the first team – once he regains fitness.
As well as Gray, Leeds signed Darko Gyabi from Manchester City over the summer for £5milion as part of the Kalvin Phillips deal [The Athletic].

Both Gray and Gyabi have shone in the academy, and both ply their trade in the heart of midfield. With Tyler Adams and Marc Roca both coming in and becoming first-team mainstays under Marsch, not many fringe players have been given minutes.
But as Gray and Gyabi keep developing, Marsch will lean more on them than Klich, and the Pole could quickly see his game time diminish completely.
That’ll be a real concern for Klich considering the recent comments from Poland manager Czeslaw Michniewicz, who expressed concern over his lack of match time [Przeglad Sportowy].
For the good of his club and international career, Klich will be considering leaving Leeds after a brilliant five years of service.
