Mateo Joseph permanent exit on cards at Leeds as transfer intent signalled at Real Madrid
Mateo Joseph could soon call time on his Leeds United spell.
Joseph joined Mallorca on loan over the summer after what proved to be a difficult Championship season under Daniel Farke.
The young Spaniard struggled as Joseph often found himself benched at Leeds, while other forward options went on to thrive.
Joel Piroe became the go-to striker option in the second tier before Leeds signed Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor over the summer.
Joseph may have had his eye on an Elland Road return, but that could now be off the table as Real Madrid looks to be involved in an LS11 January transfer.

Gonzalo Garcia could replace Mateo Joseph at Leeds United
The Leeds loanee has had a positive spell so far in LaLiga after contributing to three goals in his opening nine games of the campaign.
That is a useful return, but is unlikely to be enough for the Whites to trigger an early return to Yorkshire for the forward in January.
Joseph hasn’t been helped by the fact that Leeds want to sign Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid in January, according to On The Minute.

The Elland Road club see the Spaniard as a useful option for the current campaign while also looking to be a future star.
Leeds have tracked him closely and are keen to signal their transfer intent by signing the 21-year-old, while also competing for other European talent, potentially spelling bad news for Joseph.
Joseph could face imminent Leeds United exit
Aston Villa have shown an interest in signing Los Blancos’ forward for £17.5million, so if the Whites want him, they will have to bid more.
Should they look to make a sizable bid of their own, the sale of another squad asset could make sense for Farke and Co.
Joseph could prove to be the ideal makeweight to bring in Garcia, as he could prove to be of interest to various sides in Spain and beyond.
If Leeds could find a suitable destination for the 22-year-old, it could prove to be a smart piece of business for everyone involved.
