Mateo Joseph one game away from Daniel Farke axe at Leeds United
Mateo Joseph could be one more goalless showing away from being dropped by Daniel Farke as Leeds United travel to face Swansea City on Sunday.
The Whites will be keen to make it back-to-back wins in the Championship on 24 November after securing a 2-0 win against QPR last time out.
Farke will have a decision to make upfront at the Swansea.com Stadium after the recent poor form of the Spain Under-21 international for Leeds.
The clash against the Swans could prove to be his last before facing the chop from the starting XI if he doesn’t get on the scoresheet.
Mateo Joseph could face Leeds United chop after Swansea City clash
The 21-year-old is a talented player and there is no doubt about that but as Leeds go in search of promotion, every player needs to be chipping in.
This hasn’t been the case for the striker in recent weeks with Joel Piroe taking the headlines ahead of the youngster with six goals and two assists despite starting just seven games this season.
By comparison, Joseph has scored two and assisted three across his nine starts but has to step up if he wants to keep his place after failing to score in five games.
The importance of this has gone up a notch after Burnley secured a win on Saturday (24 November), thanks to former loanee Jaidon Anthony, that sent them third ahead of the Whites.

As Leeds travel to face Swansea, Farke will be hoping that the Spaniard can get on the scoresheet and help contribute to a win which could put his side on 32 points and joint top of the league.
Regardless of how much potential the ex-Espanyol forward has, the goal output and positive impact on the team’s performance has to be favoured.
