Marcelo Bielsa just got it while Daniel Farke keeps testing patience of ’emotional’ Leeds United fans

Leeds fans need to realise that Marcelo Bielsa treated them much better than Daniel Farke has.

It’s a scary situation for the Whites right now, as Leeds look doomed in a relegation battle with Farke at the helm.

Pressure is growing on Farke and time is running out for the German to turn results around.

Farke has fed Leeds fans excuses all season for performances, and has had little to say for the continuous support.

However, Bielsa never overlooked the Elland Road faithful.

Marcelo Bielsa appreciated Leeds fans, Daniel Farke does not

Farke has been criticised for his post-match words, as it often seems like he is trying to pull the wool over Leeds fans’ eyes.

However, Bielsa was always truthful to fans, and on many occasions, he has praised them for the incredible backing they showed his side while in charge.

On 6 February 2020, Bielsa said, as quoted by Leeds‘ official website: “Our supporters never damage our team.”

Bielsa even attended a Leeds fan event in October, giving back to supporters once with signatures and shirt signings.

Following Leeds‘ 3-1 loss to Nottingham Forest, Farke called the Whites fans “emotional”, suggesting that too much noise is made after losses – the complete opposite of Bielsa’s thoughts.

Farke said, as quoted by journalist Beren Cross: “The fanbase is very, very emotional. Everyone doubts us after every loss.”

It’s not the first time that Farke has had a dig at the Leeds fans, and it certainly won’t be the last.

Farke doesn’t stand a chance at now

Leeds is a club built on unity, as shown in the motto “Marching on Together”, and Bielsa just understood the passion.

Farke had many positive things to say about the Whites’ fans when everything was rosy and great in the Championship last season. But even then, when cracks started to show, he didn’t take responsibility.

With the German now facing the most crucial period of his managerial career, every next step and word to the fans will be vital.

If he were to open his eyes and see the fans just like Bielsa did, there may not be so much animosity around his name at the moment.

However, the damage now seems irreversible, and he is doomed.
