Many Leeds fans react to confirmed player exit: ‘Wasted so much money’, ‘Another Orta banger’
Leeds United have confirmed that Pawel Cibicki’s permanent exit from Elland Road has been completed after he agreed terms with Polish club Pogon Szczecin.
Cibicki, 26, joined Leeds from Malmo in August 2017 in the first wave of new arrivals that were welcomed to the club by director of football Victor Orta.
However Cibicki struggled to impress for the Whites and made just 10 appearances in all competitions while also being sent out on loan three times.
In the first half of this season the former Sweden Under-21 international was on loan at ADO Den Haag but played just four times for the Dutch strugglers, who are now managed by Alan Pardew.
He has since seen that loan spell terminated and Leeds’ official Twitter account confirmed on Sunday that the attacker has joined Pogon Szczecin on a permanent basis.
Cibicki is very much someone who a lot of Leeds fans will have forgotten about due to the few appearances he made in his time in Yorkshire and how underwhelming he has been while out on loan.
However plenty have still reacted to the news of the attacker’s permanent exit and here is a selection of their best tweets:
Orta has had a lot of criticism for his decision to sign certain players at Leeds but you have to admit that for every two or three failures, there has been a really good addition for the first-team.
At the end of the day, Leeds are second in the league using plenty of players the Spanish transfer chief played a role in signing.
