Daniel Farke backhandedly insulted the ability of on-loan Tottenham ace Manor Solomon when alluding to the reasons why Leeds United didn't secure any new loan deals.

It hasn't gone without notice, but Leeds finished the winter transfer window without a single piece of incoming transfer business.

Several players were linked with a move to Elland Road, but when talking about incoming loans, Farke implied it was down to a lack of quality options.

"Normally there's a reason why loan players are available. It means they are not good enough for their Premier League team," Farke told reporters, as replayed by The Athletic's Beren Cross [4 February].

It surely does not need to be pointed out to Farke, though, that Solomon is currently on loan from Premier League side Tottenham.

Manor Solomon has been a sensation for Leeds United

Farke seemed to fail to take into account the success that Leeds have had in the loan market over the years, with one of their biggest success stories from this season fitting that bill.

Solomon has been in remarkable form for the Whites, and to say he left on loan because he isn't "good enough" is rather disrespectful and just a very strange comment to make.

Players often leave on loan for several reasons: whether that be a failure to adapt to a system or simply a search for more regular game time, it isn't always a bad thing.

Quite frankly, Solomon will have every right to feel offended by Farke's comments and it's hard to see it having a positive influence on any future dealings if Leeds were to explore that market in the future if that is the attitude he has.

Several players have departed Elland Road in recent weeks on loan as well, and it's probably fair to say they aren't overly pleased either.
