‘Man Utd to derail Leeds transfer plans’ as Jadon Sancho update emerges
Jadon Sancho’s potential Manchester United departure could have a domino effect on Leeds United’s summer transfer business.
Seb Bornauw became Leeds United’s third signing of the summer window, with the Whites having already missed out on several targets.
Daniel Farke seems intent on bolstering his midfield options for Leeds’ return to the Premier League, though after missing out on both Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki to Sunderland, the Whites have been forced to turn elsewhere.
Douglas Luiz has been linked with Leeds, but the latest update from Old Trafford could scupper any plans that the Whites had to sign the Brazilian.

Sancho’s exit could see Luiz join Man United
Leeds need many more additions if they are to have any hope of avoiding immediate relegation to the Championship, with little movement to be excited about as of yet.
Anton Stach is another midfielder linked, though nothing is believed to be imminent at Elland Road.
Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Premier League | 175 | 20 | 18 |
As for Luiz, he would be a remarkable addition for the Whites, but Fabrizio Romano, via Give Me Sport (1 July), has claimed that the Juventus midfielder has been offered to Manchester United as part of a swap deal that could see Sancho move to Turin.
Should that deal go through, it would be yet another blow for Leeds, who would seemingly have to move on to a fourth midfield target if that is an area which they intend to strengthen.

Farke need to see more movement at Elland Road
Aside from Jaka Bijol, Leeds are yet to make a signing that will move the needle ahead of the new campaign, and Farke will almost certainly be pulling his hair out at that.
Things certainly need to change in the coming weeks, with several areas of the squad still in need of serious attention.
