Lucas Perri days numbered at Leeds United as replacement already lined up

Lucas Perri doesn’t seem to have a future under Daniel Farke at Leeds United.

The 28-year-old moved to the Whites for around £13.9million in the summer from Olympique Lyon, but he may soon be on his way out.

Besiktas wanted Perri in the winter transfer window, but the West Yorkshire outfit had no intention of selling him at that point.

With Karl Darlow also struggling at Elland Road, the German manager has a big dilemma on his hands, and it looks like 49ers Enterprises are ready to cut their losses on the Brazilian goalkeeper, with his Sofascore record underwhelming so far.

James Trafford to replace Lucas Perri at Leeds United

Leeds are interested in signing Manchester City shot-stopper James Trafford in the summer, according to TEAMtalk.

The Whites will look to strengthen their squad if they avoid Premier League relegation, and the goalkeeping department could be in for a rejig.

With the 49ers keen to show ambition at Elland Road, the 23-year-old Englishman, who is playing second fiddle to Gianluigi Donnarumma at the Etihad Stadium, is seen as a priority target at the West Yorkshire outfit.

If there’s one aspect that could potentially let Farke down this season, it’s the goalkeeping at the Peacocks, and it would make sense for them to sign someone like Trafford.

As things stand, West Ham United aren’t far behind Leeds, and they surely can’t take their foot off the gas.

The East London outfit have found some form in recent weeks, and it’s now up to the German manager to decide who he can trust in between the sticks until the end of the season.

Daniel Farke may have to replace another summer signing at Elland Road

Fiorentina were interested in Jaka Bijol recently, but Leeds didn’t want to sell the centre-back midway through the season.

The Slovenia international found game time hard to come by at the start of the season, but has now become a key player for Farke.

With the defender putting in some exceptional performances in the Premier League, it wouldn’t be surprising to see teams circling for his signature once again in the summer.

Bijol may be tempted to return to Italy sooner rather than later and potentially join a Champions League side, leaving the West Yorkshire outfit with another key position to strengthen for next season.
