Leeds United will fear immediate relegation as Premier League verdict shared live on talkSPORT
Leeds United fans will fear immediate relegation if they are promoted to the Premier League after Ray Parlour shared his latest prediction live on talkSPORT.
The former Arsenal midfielder insisted that “at least” two of the three promoted teams this season would “certainly” face relegation from the Premier League next year.
This comes after Sheffield United were officially relegated from the top division at the weekend, with fellow promoted sides Burnley and Luton looking most likely to follow them down.
Speaking live on talkSPORT [29 April, 06:58], Parlour explained: “If you look at Burnley and Sheffield United, they’re going straight back down. Luton are still trying to get out of it, but they could go down.
“It’s going to be like that most seasons. I think two out of the three certainly, at least, will go down every single season, you’ve got to be realistic about it.”
Leeds United may fear Premier League relegation already
Leicester City will also be concerned by Parlour’s comments, having already been promoted from the Championship and with the threat of a possible points deduction mooted for when they arrive in the Premier League.
Leeds will also be hopeful of reaching an automatic promotion place despite a recent dip in form, with Ipswich similarly faltering as we approach the end of the season, with neither side stamping their authority on the race.
However, a 4-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers put a huge dent in Leeds’ ambitions of automatic promotion, with Ipswich knowing that if they can win the rest of their games then they will be promoted in second place.

Their fate has been taken out of Leeds’ hands, throwing a spanner in the works of the club’s transfer plans for the summer as they may now need to reevaluate their options, as they will rely on Ipswich to drop points in their final two games.
