Leeds United to put wrench in Harry Wilson talks after deadline deal collapse

Leeds United should make Fulham wary of their presence regarding Harry Wilson ahead of the winter transfer window.

The Whites are in desperate need of reinforcements in their squad as Daniel Farke eyes Premier League survival.

Wilson was linked with a move to Elland Road in the summer, but a move to the Whites failed to materialise on deadline day.

The 28-year-old’s current contract expires at the end of the season, and talks with the Cottagers over a new deal continue.

Harry Wilson expected to sign new Fulham contract, Leeds United must act now

Wilson is still of interest to Leeds in January, but it looks like Fulham are progressing well in their negotiations with him.

SportsBoom reports on 18 November that the Wales international is close to agreeing a new long-term deal at Craven Cottage.

It’s been claimed that the forward has every intention to sign a new deal at the Cottagers, who are within touching distance of an agreement, which will surely be a bitter blow at Elland Road.

While the West Yorkshire outfit should’ve made their move sooner, they still have time to put a wrench in Fulham’s talks with Wilson.

The Peacocks could indeed find themselves in the relegation zone sooner rather than later as they prepare for a tough set of fixtures in the coming weeks.

Farke will have to deal with Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool back to back, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him fail to get a single point from those matches.

Elland Road bargain chip emerges in Harry Wilson transfer race

Jack Harrison could potentially be used to lure Wilson to Elland Road, with Fulham interested in the Englishman.

Leeds should look to pull off a clever swap deal for the 29-year-old and the Welsh forward in the winter transfer window.

The former Manchester City ace isn’t wanted in LS11 by fans after leaving them for Everton during the Whites’ push for Premier League promotion.

Wilson could potentially bring much-needed attacking threat to Elland Road, but it remains to be seen whether the West Yorkshire outfit can sign him.
