Leeds United to embarrass Paul Merson as he guesses scoreline vs Brighton
Leeds United have a chance to put egg on Paul Merson’s face as they face Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.
Amex Stadium will host Daniel Farke’s team on 1 November, with the Seagulls coming off a 2-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the Carabao Cup.
Elland Road witnessed a resounding win over West Ham United on 24 October, as the Whites took an important step in the race to avoid relegation.
With confidence high in LS11, the West Yorkshire outfit will hope to build a winning run against Fabian Hurzeler’s team in East Sussex.

Paul Merson predicts Leeds United loss vs Brighton
Merson expects Brighton to score two goals against Leeds at the Amex Stadium.
If the Arsenal icon’s prediction is anything to go by, then the Whites will suffer heartbreak away from Elland Road with a 2-0 loss.
The West Yorkshire outfit have the opportunity to embarrass the 57-year-old by proving to the English top flight that they aren’t a team that will be pushed around.
Merson wrote in Sportskeeda on 30 October: “Leeds have impressed me so far this season. That win against West Ham last weekend will give them a huge boost. But I just feel Brighton will win this game since they’re at home.”
Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland have been bullish this season, with all three recently promoted sides outside the Premier League relegation zone.
In recent years, teams have dropped back down to the Championship immediately, but that trend looks set to be broken in the 2025-26 campaign.

Daniel Farke set for eight-year first vs Brighton
Farke doesn’t have any fitness issues ahead of the Brighton fixture, leaving him with strong options to choose from at the Amex Stadium.
The Seagulls have been a bit inconsistent this season as they sit 13th in the Premier League, giving Leeds the perfect opportunity to make their mark.
If the Whites beat the East Sussex outfit, it will be the first time they will do so in eight years and in the last six matches between the two.
Brighton lost 2-0 at Elland Road in the Championship on 18 March 2017, but have gotten the better of the West Yorkshire outfit ever since, giving Farke something to think about ahead of the game.
