Leeds United to deal Fulham heartbreak with prime Harry Wilson transfer

Leeds United will surely be keeping tabs on Fulham forward Harry Wilson ahead of the winter transfer window.

The 28-year-old’s current contract at Craven Cottage expires at the end of the season, and it remains to be seen how his situation unfolds.

Wilson was a target for Elland Road in the summer, but the Whites were unable to complete a deal for the Wales international.

Daniel Farke is now dealing with an injury issue to Daniel James, and the West Yorkshire outfit should certainly look at reinforcing their attack in January.

Harry Wilson set to enter prime amid Fulham contract negotiations

Wilson is expected to sign a new contract at Fulham, Dean Jones says.

The journalist revealed that the Welshman has an offer on the table from the Cottagers, with the forward in one of the best moments of his career right now.

Jones has advised the winger to stay at Craven Cottage as a move away could potentially hinder his prospects.

Speaking on Ranks FC on 17 December, the journalist said: “He’s 28. Waiting for a new contract from Fulham. Offer on the table for him. I think he’ll sign. I don’t think it would be wise to change clubs when you’re in a moment like this, coming into potentially having the next two years of your career be your best, if it can get better than this.”

Leeds may yet convince Wilson to turn down a new contract, which will certainly be heartbreaking for Fulham.

The Wales international is entering his prime years, and the Elland Road hierarchy can weaken one of their Premier League rivals by signing him.

Leeds United have clever transfer strategy for Harry Wilson

Jack Harrison is clearly surplus to requirements under Farke, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him request a move away in the coming weeks.

Leeds are certainly stuck with the Englishman whose contract runs until 2028, but a swap deal with Fulham may be a clever idea.

The West Yorkshire outfit could use Harrison in direct negotiations to secure Wilson’s signature.

With the former Liverpool star set to be a free agent as things stand, the Cottagers may be enticed by the prospect of getting Harrison in return.
