Leeds United silence deafening as Javi Gracia work permit issues clearly continuing

Leeds United have more issues after appointing Javi Gracia than they had before it seems, with trouble brewing at Elland Road with no sign of an end.

The Spaniard is yet to take training at Thorp Arch despite arriving on Tuesday 21 February, with his wait for a work permit appearing to drag on.

The Mirror has even reported that with document issues taking their time, Gracia could be forced to watch the game from the stands at Elland Road, not the dugout.

The silence from Elland Road today has been deafening.

Thursday is usually press conference day for games on a Saturday, and Gracia was nowhere to be seen, neither was Michael Skubala, who has taken them recently infront of the media.

Leeds may be waiting until tomorrow to bring the media to Thorp Arch, giving the governing body more time to resolve these work permit issues.

Prepare.

If any club was going to make an appointment and then fail to get that man in the dugout for their biggest game of the season, it would be Leeds United.

Gracia has a huge task ahead of him to keep the Whites in the Premier League and was already looking at Southampton in his analysis before even being appointed.

If Friday comes and goes with no answers in the media or a simple press conference, it will be assumed that it will once again be a temporary team that are taking charge.

Surely, there will be a plan in place that has Gracia feeding what he wants across to the players at Thorp Arch ready for every eventuality.

Leeds need a new style sorting, their current plans are simply taking them down to the Championship.
