Leeds United set to face one of two Chelsea sides after what happened v Liverpool at Wembley

Leeds United will be full of confidence going into their huge FA Cup clash with Chelsea amid their success in the Championship.

The Whites closed the gap on league leaders Leicester City to just six points after they defeated the Foxes 3-1 at Elland Road on Friday (23 February).

A rapid return to the Premier League is certainly on the cards for Daniel Farke and his players, but their momentum in the league is now set to be disrupted given how their attention must now turn to another competition.

English giants Chelsea welcome the Whites to Stamford Bridge for an FA Cup fifth round clash on Wednesday (28 February), in what is certain to be a tough test for the visitors.

It is a very interesting time to come up against the Blues, who go into the meeting on the back of a League Cup final loss to Liverpool on Sunday (25 February).

The Reds ran out 1-0 winners after extra-time at Wembley after the two Premier League clubs played out a goalless draw in normal time.

The defeat is now set to bring out one of two sides to Chelsea against Leeds, with the first being a positive for the Whites.

Mauricio Pochettino’s outfit will firstly be drained from that lengthy clash against Jurgen Klopp’s side, and secondly massively lacking in confidence given how Liverpool ended the match with a very young and inexperienced XI.

On the other side of the coin, Chelsea will be ready to immediately bounce back and will unleash all of their power and energy against Leeds from the very first whistle, which would be very worrying and indeed unfortunate for the Championship side.

In other Leeds United news, Gretar Steinsson has been hailed as one transfer flies under the radar at Elland Road.
