Leeds United one step closer to new transfer as ‘concrete offer’ submitted for Real Madrid star
Leeds United are still looking to add more quality to their attacking options.
Facundo Buonanotte became Leeds’ first January signing on Thursday, with the Brighton winger arriving at Elland Road on a season-long loan.
However, Daniel Farke is still intent on signing more attacking quality this window, having been linked with a move for Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen and Napoli’s Noa Lang.
Out of the two, the latter seems much more attainable, and the latest update from Napoli suggests that a deal may be edging slightly closer.
Napoli submit offer for Real Madrid forward
Lang is the latest to be linked with Leeds, and based on his stats throughout his career, you can see why he would be of interest.
The 26-year-old has hit double figures for goals and assists in four of his last sis camp[aigns, with spells at Club Brugge, PSV Eindhoven and now Napoli.
Last season, he scored 14 and assisted 12 across all competitions for PSV, which is, by some margin, his best season to date.
However, his move to Napoli in the summer has not gone as planned, with Lang having played just 629 minutes of Serie A football this season, leading to rumours over his exit.

Now, Fichajes have reported that Napoli have made a “concrete offer” to sign Franco Mastantuano on loan from Real Madrid, which could be important given the fact that he would be another wide option for the Italian outfit.
Real Madrid are said to be considering the proposal, and if the deal were to go through, it would be a huge boost for the Whites in their pursuit of Lang.
Noa Lang arrival could spell the end for Noah Okafor already
Noah Okafor showed plenty of promise in his early days at Leeds, but his lack of goal contributions in particular has been cause for concern.
The 24-year-old attacker has just two goals or assists in 20 appearances for Leeds, with his most recent one coming all the way back in October, when the Whites suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Tottenham.
Farke’s decision to utilise two up front has not helped his case, with Okafor clearly at his best when playing in a wide position, though his lack of influence is still concerning.
Okafor has already been mooted for an exit from Elland Road, and if Lang were to arrive this month, those rumours would only become louder.
