Leeds United must hold on to Crysencio Summerville despite Premier League interest
Leeds United must do whatever it takes to hold on to Crysencio Summerville in their bid for Championship promotion, with Premier League sides circling.
Summerville has stepped up to become the main man at Elland Road so far this season, repaying the faith Daniel Farke has shown in him, but that form has attracted interest from elsewhere.
Fabrizio Romano shared on 21 October that Summerville had rejected clubs in the summer in favour of a starring role at Leeds, but more Premier League clubs are now monitoring his progress ahead of the January transfer window.
With seven goals and five assists in 14 appearances so far this season, Summerville has proved he has what it takes to be a top performer at the club, and after his spell in the top tier last season, will be looking to return there as soon as possible.
Whether this comes via a transfer move or dragging Leeds to their target of promotion is yet to be seen, but his performances at Elland Road so far this season have made both options a possibility.
Summerville has picked up ten combined goals and assists in his last eight games, and even in the 1-1 draw with Rotherham, his performance stood out. Seven attempted dribbles, three key passes and five shots, three of which were on target, showed his determination to make things happen up front. [Sofascore]
Added to that, his two tackles, two fouls drawn, 100% success rate in aerial duels and winning eight of his fourteen ground duels showed he can do the dirty work a lot of Premier League sides want from their wingers.

There is no doubt the Dutchman has been the standout performer for Leeds this season, but it is a double-edged sword. He could drag Leeds to promotion with his displays, but playing like this in the second tier will always garner interest from bigger clubs.
It looks unlikely that he would push for a January exit, but Leeds must do everything they can to ensure he is not tempted to move away any time soon.
