Leeds United look to seal first January transfer with new Liverpool approach
Leeds United look to have made an approach for Liverpool playmaker Fabio Carvalho as the competition heats up in the January transfer window.
Fabrizio Romano reported on January 6 that Wolves have made a loan offer for the Portuguese attacker, with the top six of the Championship doing the same.
Based on that, Leeds has also been joined by Leicester, Ipswich, Southampton, West Brom and Sunderland in trying to get a deal over the line quickly.
He wrote on X: “Understand Wolves have asked for Fábio Carvalho on loan until the end of the season.
“Top 6 Championship clubs have also asked for loan, waiting for Liverpool and player’s camp to decide for best option.”

Playmaker.
Just ask any fan heading into this January transfer window, and the one position they wanted sorting was that number 10 role for Daniel Farke.
It was that or play Georginio Rutter deeper for his creativity, something that also happened in the 3-0 win against Birmingham with Patrick Bamford playing higher.
Everyone is fed up with seeing Leeds fall behind in games and Farke just throwing every attacker on the pitch, with no real plan to unlock teams in a low block.
Bringing someone in such as Carvalho would certainly help that, and potentially take some of the heat off the likes of Rutter and Crysencio Summerville in tight areas.
This is certainly one to watch in the coming days, with Wolves likely in pole position given their Premier League status and use of younger players.
If Leeds can pull off a simple loan move, there would be no complaints at Elland Road.
