Leeds United look doomed after what Daniel Farke said about Brighton defeat
Leeds United could be headed back down to the Championship if Daniel Farke stays.
Leeds lost on their travels to Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday, as the Seagulls defeated the Whites 3-0 in a very telling display from Farke‘s side.
Farke’s tactics were poor, and he has once again shown why he may not be the man to keep Leeds in England’s top flight.
Leeds want to stay in the Premier League, but Whites fans are losing faith in Farke and won’t be inspired by his recent comments after the Brighton loss.

Daniel Farke keeps making excuses for Leeds performances
Gabriel Gudmundsson had a poor game at left-back, as Leeds fans may want to see more of James Justin after what they saw against Brighton.
Leeds were simply outplayed against Brighton, and as a result, have failed to capitalise on the likes of Nottingham Forest, Wolves and Burnley all failing to win on Saturday.
- Leeds remain on 11 points after 10 games
- They are still above West Ham, Forest, Burnley and Wolves
- Leeds next face relegation rivals Forest in the Premier League
Leeds could have created a slight gap between themselves and those below them, and Farke’s post-game comments won’t sit well with the Whites fans.
Farke said, as quoted by Leeds Live: “We are a newly promoted away side. Today, fair assessment, it wasn’t our day today. We are self-critical because we can play better.
“We weren’t brave or confident. If you’re 1-0 down in the away game, it’s always difficult. After that, I was impressed with how we handled it.”
Already this season, Farke has made excuses before crucial games, and how on earth he is impressed with what he saw at the Amex Stadium is simply absurd.

But with such a deflating result and performance, were there any positives for Leeds to take?

Noah Okafor is Leeds’ only hope
Leeds don’t have an abundance of players who fit the bill at Premier League level, but they still may have enough to survive.
Noah Okafor has given Leeds hope, and did so once more with his individual performance against Brighton.
| Minutes | Tackles | Dribbles completed | Rating |
| 77 | 3 | 5 | 6/8 |
Against Brighton, Okafor was the only spark for Leeds going forward, and his five completed dribbles showed that.
Moving forward, Leeds just need to pray Okafor stays fit, and that Farke sorts his ideas out.
