Leeds United in Struijk boost as Farke shares January transfer update
Daniel Farke has revealed that Leeds United aren’t under pressure to sell anyone in January.
The Whites had a turbulent summer where many key names including Cyrsencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter and Archie Gray left for the Premier League.
Despite the West Yorkshire club sitting second in the Championship there was fear among supporters that more stars could leave in the upcoming winter window.
Speaking in his press conference on 19 December, Farke has revealed that this won’t be the case.
He said: “No financial pressure to sell next month. We raised more money than any club in Western Europe in the summer. There is a moment when you have to sell after spending or overspending in the years before.
“It’s crucial for the long-term picture to do this, but it is not good for the short-term. Overall beneficial. We are a healthy club financially. No pressure to do anything.”
Leeds United under no pressure to lose Pascal Struijk
There are multiple top players at Elland Road who will be of interest to clubs in the English top flight and across Europe.
Struijk is one Leeds star who has impressed throughout the campaign so far and has been linked with a potential move away from the Whites.
The 25-year-old has emerged as a target for Premier League side Tottenham as Ange Postecoglou looks to take advantage of his ongoing contract negotiations at Elland Road [TBR Football].
This would likely represent an attractive prospect to the centre-back but would also be a blow to Farke for the rest of the season.
Now it doesn’t appear that the German manager is going to lose one of his regular starters in January after his comments on Thursday (19 November).

This can only come as a boost to the former Norwich City boss and his side’s promotion prospects at the end of this campaign.
Taking the step up to the top tier will almost be a requirement after missing out last year and keeping hold of the Dutchman will certainly be a boost to the chances of achieving that goal.
