Leeds United have no excuses to delay Daniel Farke sack after Paris Saint-Germain reveal
Daniel Farke should be grateful that 49ers Enterprises haven’t sacked him at Leeds United after losing to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Sunday.
Sean Dyche’s team secured the three points at the City Ground on 10 November, with the Whites failing to hold on to their lead in the 3-1 defeat.
Paraag Marathe doesn’t seem to be contemplating Farke’s dismissal at Elland Road, but maybe the Americans need to change their stance on him.
With the 49ers putting their money where their mouth is in the summer, the German manager should be on thin ice as the West Yorkshire outfit sit just one point above the relegation zone after 11 Premier League games.

Leeds United spent more than Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan in summer transfer window
Adam Underwood worked alongside Farke to strengthen Leeds’ squad in the summer transfer window, spending significant sums on the likes of Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Jaka Bijol.
The Whites bought a new goalkeeper, Lucas Perri, after it became clear Illan Meslier wasn’t good enough for them at Elland Road.
In Sean Longstaff, James Justin and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the West Yorkshire outfit acquired players that added much-needed Premier League experience to their squad.
However, the results on the pitch clearly haven’t been good enough despite spending around a £100million on new players, more than Paris Saint-Germain’s £90m and Inter Milan’s £81m summer spend.
Brendan Rodgers is available to replace Farke, and it would be stupid for the Whites not even to contemplate making a change after the ex-Celtic manager’s resignation at Parkhead.
The 49ers arguably have no excuses for continuing to fail under the German manager, with the international break indeed the perfect time for a switch in the dugout.
What Paraag Marathe has said about Daniel Farke sack at Elland Road
Speculation was rife about Farke’s tenuous future at Elland Road in the summer, with the former Norwich City boss not being considered good enough to lead the West Yorkshire outfit in the Premier League after his two failed attempts to survive relegation at Carrow Road.
In the end, the German manager kept his job at Leeds, with Marathe rubbishing reports of looking for a replacement in LS11 after winning the Championship title.
| Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses |
| 60 | 9 | 10 | 41 |
Speaking to Sky Sports on 18 August, the Whites’ chairman said: “Honestly, I wouldn’t believe reports. I often say that, when I have something to say, I’m going to say it, and for me, there was one focus: winning the Championship.”
Marathe is now faced with the reality of a tight relegation battle, even after backing Farke at Elland Road, which should be a decent enough reason to look for a new manager.
