Leeds United given fresh hope of Danilho Doekhi transfer after concrete offers
Union Berlin centre-back has admirers at Leeds United after what he’s done in the Bundesliga this season.
Daniel Farke is a big admirer of Doekhi, and the German manager is keen to have the defender at his disposal sooner rather than later.
As things stand, the 27-year-old’s contract at the German club expires at the end of the season, and it isn’t surprising to see teams looking to capitalise on that in January.
Wolfsburg explored a surprise deal for Doekhi as they looked to bolster their defence in the winter transfer window, but the West Yorkshire outfit may yet have a chance to convince him to move to the Premier League.
Danilho Doekhi has no intention of leaving Union Berlin before end of season amid Leeds United interest
Doekhi is adamant about staying at Union Berlin despite concrete offers to leave, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports journalist revealed on 31 January that the centre-back is determined to finish the season with Die Eisernen and leave as a free agent at the end of the season.
Top teams in the Bundesliga have already made enquiries about the defender, but his plan hasn’t changed.
With Doekhi not entertaining offers before the 2 February deadline, the Whites now surely have a chance to present their case over the next few months.

Sebastiaan Bornauw is already being linked with an exit from Elland Road after struggling for regular game time, but the Peacocks may already have a quality replacement on their radar.
Elland Road faithful in for disappointing transfer deadline
A deal for Jorgen Strand Larsen seems to have cooled at Leeds, with Crystal Palace seemingly ahead in the race for the Norwegian striker.
The 25-year-old is seen as a market opportunity by the Whites, and they aren’t expected to move for another centre-forward if they don’t get him.

Facundo Buonanotte is the only first-team signing the West Yorkshire outfit have made in January, and it looks like he’ll be the only addition to Farke’s squad for the second half of the season.
The Elland Road faithful would arguably have wanted to see a quality forward and defender arrive in the winter window, but they might not get their wish after all.
