Leeds United find instant Jack Harrison upgrade as deal hours from completion
Leeds United’s winter window is hotting up, with Jack Harrison set to leave Elland Road.
Paraag Marathe had been accused of failing Daniel Farke after Leeds‘ slow start to the January window, but patience looks set to be a virtue in West Yorkshire.
Facundo Buonanotte became Leeds’ first signing this month when he completed his loan move from Brighton earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Leeds are still looking for a couple more signings, whilst also being aware that they need to balance the books.

Leeds’ Jack Harrison replacement may already be in place
Harrison has reportedly agreed to join Fiorentina on loan, with the Italian club having the option to purchase him for £6million in a deal that could be officially concluded in hours.
The 29-year-old winger has fallen victim to Farke‘s tactical tweak in recent weeks, but even when handed the opportunity to play this season, Harrison has failed to produce.
- Harrison has made 219 appearances for Leeds
- He’s scored 34 goals and provided 32 assists
- Harrison has started just one Premier League game this season
So, whilst he has been a good servant to Leeds, his production and impact to the 2025-26 team – no goals or assists – can easily be replaced, and the Whites already appear to have that player in their sights.
That is because Leeds are now looking to sign Napoli’s Noa Lang – a player they have been linked with in previous years.

Noa Lang could be superb signing for Leeds
Signed by Napoli in this season’s summer window for around £24m, Lang hasn’t quite been able to cement a starting role in Antonio Conte’s side.

However, the 26-year-old has still been able to make 25 appearances in all competitions so far this term, and as per FotMob, is averaging a very solid 6.8/10 per game.
Prior to his Napoli move, the Netherlands international made 63 appearances for PSV Eindhoven, where he scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists, showing his goal contribution potential.
Indeed, Lang achieved his “dream” last year when reaching the latter stages of the Champions League.
The versatile winger also enjoyed three highly fruitful seasons with Club Brugge, and is a product of Ajax’s fabled academy system.
