Leeds United familiarity must be kept as two new coaches join Jesse Marsch
Jesse Marsch has wasted no time in stamping his mark on Leeds United since he arrived following Marcelo Bielsa’s sacking last season.
Not only has he gone and signed no less than six players in his first transfer window in the Premier League, with more potentially to come, but he’s also overseen a big turnaround in coaching staff as the new philosophy is being instilled into the club.
Most recently, the 48-year-old has brought in two former Toronto FC coaches in Ewan Sharp and Pierre Barrieu, as reported by the Yorkshire Post, to add more familiarity for himself.

“Pierre Barrieu will be coming in as a fitness coach and performance analyst so we’re excited to have his expertise,” Marsch said after the Whites’ 4-0 friendly win against Blackpool.
“Ewan has come from his time at Man United. He worked with me in New York. He understands me very clearly and the philosophy I want to play.
“He’s an on-the-field coach but also a video analyst and I think we’ll be having one more pretty soon.”
But while the boss does need some familiar faces to him to lean on when times are getting tough, the rest of the playing squad also need that same security of someone they’ve known for a while for the same reason.

There is a danger that Marsch is over-Americanising Leeds United at the moment, especially with the signings of Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams this summer, and that will only go one of two ways.
Either everything will click straight away and we are about to witness a fabulous season at Elland Road or the change will be too drastic and we will be set for another rear-clenching campaign.
In other Leeds United news, this Whites youngster should get his second chance in LS11 this season with competition for places light.
