Leeds United destined for final day Premier League doom after Sam Allardyce admission
Leeds United host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 28 May on the final day of the Premier League season with the Whites appearing destined to be relegated to the Championship.
That sentiment was echoed by the resigned tone of Sam Allardyce after the defeat to West Ham United last Sunday after he witnessed his team lose 3-1 in a game that they scored the opener.
Leeds still have a chance to survive but it is a very small one depending on various factors going their way but what is much more likely is that final day doom awaits.

Big Sam attempted to be constructive in his criticism of the squad that he has presided over for the last few weeks but he was clearly blasting the lack of quality within the group of players at his disposal.
His frustration was very apparent as he moves closer to a second successive Premier League drop, after his last role at West Bromich Albion, with his reputation as a survival specialist now diminished.
The veteran boss didn’t quite throw in the towel ahead of the visit of Spurs, but his words spoke for themselves, as reported by the Telegraph.
“I can only try my best and give the players the right sort of instructions and show them how to win a game of football, he said.
“Unfortunately for me and for them that hasn’t worked yet. It was always going to be a difficult task.
“A lot of people have said how mad I am taking it but I’m not mad, I just love football and Leeds United was too big a job to turn down, however short it was.”

Lack of belief
On Sunday at Elland Road, there will be plenty of passion and defiance from the stands, but there won’t be much in terms of a genuine belief that a great escape can unfold, although it is still possible.
First of all, Leeds need to win and that hasn’t happened in nine games since the three points picked up against Nottingham Forest on 04 April, with the last clean sheet coming more than one month earlier in the win over Southampton on 25 February.
Since that fixture, another 14 have been played with a massive 37 goals conceded. The Whites have the worst defence in the league to date this season with a total of 74 goals lost. Damning.
Even when the opener came on Sunday at the London Stadium, the players didn’t know what to do with it.
The lack of belief is apparent in the dressing room and in the stands, with the curtain about to fall on a miserable campaign.
In other Leeds United news, Sam Allardyce came off badly amid a “scathing” rebuke of one flop in the loss to West Ham according to Phil Hay.
