Leeds United could use Red Bull links to get Petar Ratkov transfer over line
Leeds United could be in a position to sign Petar Ratkov from RB Salzburg this summer by utilising their sponsorship links with Red Bull.
The Serbian has been named by GIVEMESPORT (18 June) as one star from the Euros who could be on the move during the transfer window.
RB Leipzig are said to be “watching his progress closely”, although a move to the highest-profile club in the RB stable is more likely to happen further down the line.
Given that Leeds are now sponsored and partially owned by the Red Bull group, a move for Ratkov could be possible in the near future.
Leeds United to utilise Red Bull links for Petar Ratkov
The outlet has reported that he has a contract with the Austrian side until 2028 so there would be no pressure to move him on yet.
There has also been interest from the UK, with Rangers looking into signing the 20-year-old this summer.
The Whites are “tracking his process”, and with the strategic partnership they may now share with Salzburg, a deal could be possible.
This would certainly be exciting for fans to be picking up a young striker with bags of potential for the future.
In his debut season in Austria, he scored just six goals across 35 appearances in all competitions after his move from TSC Backa Topola.

He is certainly more of a physical presence, which could make him well-suited for the Championship if he were to sign this summer.
It is unclear whether or not the Red Bull partnership will make a difference and allow this deal to be possible, but he is certainly an interesting and exciting prospect.
