Leeds United to face new manager bounce after official announcement today
Leeds United players will be enjoying a well-deserved weekend off of Championship action during the November international break.
The Whites headed into the November break with a 2-1 win over Plymouth Argyle on Saturday (11 November) to ensure that they remain in the hunt for the automatic promotion places and on the tails of Leicester and Ipswich.
Following the break, Leeds return to action against Rotherham United on Friday 24 November, but their preparations could be set to change as it looks like the home side will have a new manager in the dugout for Daniel Farke’s visit to the New York Stadium.

Rotherham have confirmed the sacking of Matt Taylor today following the Millers’ dreadful 5-0 defeat to Watford in what was one of the most damning results during what has been a terrible start to the campaign.
The Yorkshire side has only won two of their 16 matches in the Championship currently sits in the bottom three of the division and looks destined to be one of the teams to drop into League One this year.
Leeds would have been feeling confident at the prospect of getting their season back up and running against the Millers later in November, but now it looks like they could be facing the dreaded new manager bounce.
Whether or not you believe that such a thing exists, there is a consistent trend in clubs having an upturn of form when a new manager is appointed, you only have to look at the results of Millwall and QPR this weekend after they’ve changed their head coach.

If nothing else it will make preparation slightly harder for Leeds United as they may be facing a very different Rotherham side to the one that played in the Millers’ last clash against Watford under the management of Taylor.
Leeds already appear to be up against it with the game being moved by Sky Sports to a Friday night kick-off, meaning the likes of Dan James, Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu will only have one day to train after returning from international duty.
This feels like it could have the early makings of an upset and if Leeds have genuine ambitions of catching Leicester or Ipswich they are going to have to clear all these hurdles and ensure they come away with all three points after the November international break.
