Leeds United close to Jorgen Strand Larsen agreement after £39m development
Leeds United fans may be in for a surprise as 49ers Enterprises decide to spend big on Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
The 24-cap Norway international has emerged as a concrete target for the Whites in the winter transfer window, with an offer already made.
Wolves rejected the initial bid from Elland Road, with the West Midlands club holding out for £40million to sell the 25-year-old striker.
Ben Jacobs revealed Leeds had offered over £30m plus add-ons for Strand Larsen, and further details suggest the West Yorkshire outfit are closer to an agreement than it seems.

With £33m up front and a further £6m in add-ons, the Whites were close to Wolves’ asking price in their first attempt to sign Strand Larsen.
According to the Daily Mail, talks between the Peacocks and Molineux side continue over the Norwegian centre-forward’s transfer.
It’s been claimed that the West Midlands club are willing to sell the striker, but are standing firm on their valuation.
As things stand, the West Yorkshire outfit are just £1m apart, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them thrash out a deal sooner rather than later at Elland Road.
While Wolves have claimed they’re happy to keep Strand Larsen until the end of the season, that may not be the case since relegation will surely complicate things for them in the summer.

Joel Piroe doesn’t seem to have a future at Elland Road, with the Suriname international already behind the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha in the pecking order.
The 26-year-old has a chance to return to the Championship, where he was the top goalscorer last season.
A deal for Strand Larsen would only make sense for Leeds if they were to sell Piroe before the 2 February deadline.
Farke has often said that he doesn’t want a bloated squad, and the former Swansea attacker’s situation will surely be worth keeping an eye on in the coming weeks.
