Leeds United ‘can finally seal Bobby Clark transfer’ using Red Bull links

Leeds United missed out on Bobby Clark last summer, but the Red Bull Salzburg midfielder could be on the move in the upcoming transfer window.

Daniel Farke’s team will play Premier League football next season after sealing an automatic promotion spot.

The Whites could also beat Burnley to the Championship title if they beat Plymouth Argyle on Saturday (3 May).

With a place in the English top flight guaranteed, it would make sense for 49ers Enterprises to already have plans in place for the upcoming transfer window, with a former target once again in the market.

Red Bull Salzburg to sanction Clark exit after Leeds United interest in 2024

Salzburg will let Clark, who attracted interest from the Whites in 2024, leave on loan soon, according to Kronen Zeitung.

The news outlet reports (29 April) that the former Liverpool midfielder will be part of a summer overhaul at the Austrian outfit in the upcoming transfer window.

In the summer of 2024, Farke’s team wanted Clark on a temporary move, but in the end, the 20-year-old ended up moving to the Red Bull Arena in Salzburg.

The energy drink giants are investors in the 49ers, and Paraag Marathe could potentially use that connection to seal a deal for the Englishman, finally.

49ers set for mega sponsorship boost after Premier League promotion

Red Bull are front-of-shirt sponsors at Elland Road, and the terms of the agreement are set to increase after the Whites won promotion.

The 49ers will also see a Premier League broadcast money boost their coffers for the coming years, with a minimum of £200m guaranteed.

Farke will undoubtedly be looking for the American owners to invest in his squad in the coming months to help the West Yorkshire outfit survive an immediate drop from the top flight.

While Leeds have one of the best squads in the Championship, the current team can’t be expected to handle the rigours of the Premier League.

While Clark arguably wouldn’t improve the first team at Elland Road, he could be a decent squad player for them.

The Whites will arguably need immense squad depth in the upcoming campaign, and with the likes of Joe Rothwell leaving once their loan expires, the Salzburg ace seems like a bargain transfer for next summer.

With the 49ers needing to add quality to several areas of the team, they should consider cost-effective options to build a balanced squad.
