Leeds United: Arnaut Kalimuendo potential arrival surely means Rodrigo should leave Elland Road
Leeds United have reportedly ramped up their interest in PSG forward Arnaut Kalimuendo and that could open the door for Rodrigo to end his torrid spell at Elland Road.
90min reported on 14 July that Leeds are close to reaching an agreement with PSG for the 20-year-old and that the Yorkshire side are “confident” of finalising a deal for the striker.
Kalimuendo’s arrival would certainly provide so much-needed competition for Patrick Bamford but also open the door for Rodrigo to end his fairly abject spell at Elland Road after arriving for £27million from Valencia in 2020.

For that kind of investment Leeds would need a lot more than just six Premier League goals in the 2021/22 season.
The Spanish international has certainly proved to be a frustrating player to watch over the past couple of years, with the 31-year-old never really hitting the heights expected of him at Elland Road.
Considering his age, the former Valencia man is well beyond his best and bringing in a younger replacement such as Kalimuendo does make a lot of sense for Leeds going forward.

Rodrigo has two years left on his current deal at Elland Road and will be on a significant wage with Leeds at present.
Jesse Marsch shifting the striker off his wage structure should be a priority for the American in order for the Leeds boss to bring in a striker that fits the way he wants to play.
Rodrigo has flattered to deceive during his time in Yorkshire and should be allowed to leave at the first possible opportunity this summer.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites now want to sign this striker with a rival set to kickstart a major £30million+ transfer battle
