Leeds to strike deal to sign Rodrigo Muniz as Fulham face financial trouble
Leeds may look to reignite their interest in Rodrigo Muniz in January.
The main focus is on the future of Daniel Farke at Leeds right now, though it won’t be long until all attention turns to the January transfer window.
With Leeds still facing a possible relegation, it’s going to be crucial that they address their frailties with business in the winter and avoid making the same errors that they did in the summer.
One of those involved Muniz, who was linked with a move to Leeds, though a new opportunity for the Whites may have just emerged, and they need to look into it.
Fulham may look to sell Rodrigo Muniz this January
Muniz is a Premier League-level striker who would certainly boost their chances of survival, though a deal proved hard to agree on in the summer.
In October, Muniz agreed to a new deal with Fulham, which will keep him there until 2030, at least in theory.
However, with the Brazilian having had a patchy start to the season, and Sky Sports reporting financial trouble at Craven Cottage, there may be a deal to be done.
It’s claimed via their transfer centre that “money is believed to be tight” with the costs of their new stadium revamp hitting them hard.
The report adds that they are keen to make additions of their own, though it seems as though they may have to raise funds to do so.
With that in mind, added to Muniz’s shaky start to the season, Leeds may just be able to tempt fate with an approach in January.

Signing a striker has to be Leeds United’s priority
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has hardly hit the heights needed at Elland Road, and despite being their top scorer, it seems highly unlikely that Lukas Nmecha is going to be starting regularly.
Only Wolves have scored fewer than Leeds this season, which is a clear showcase of the fact that needs to be addressed in the winter.
Whether that’s via Muniz or a striker from abroad remains to be seen, but failure to add to their attacking options will put the final nail in the coffin for the Whites in their attempts to solidify their status as a top-flight club.
The 49ers failed Leeds in the summer in that regard, and they simply can’t afford to do it again in January.
