Leeds star Anton Stach robbed as Premier League make controversial announcement

Anton Stach has arguably been Leeds’ best signing of the summer so far, with the midfielder oozing quality.

Since joining from Hoffenheim, the 26-year-old has quickly established himself as one of the Peacocks’ best players.

Statistics show that Stach has been one of the best performers in the Premier League so far this season, as he looks to guide Leeds to safety.

Yet, his moments of magic are yet to receive the recognition they deserve after a shocking snub.

Martin Zubimendi beats Anton Stach to Premier League Goal of the Month award

Stach’s best moment in a Leeds shirt to date was no doubt the goal against Wolves.

With the scoreline locked at 1-1, the midfielder stepped up to fire a magnificent free-kick into the top corner.

It was a sensational strike and put Leeds in control of an important match.

While this was rightly nominated for Goal of the Month for September, the Premier League confirmed via X on 10 October, that Arsenal’s Martin Zubimendi had won.

The midfielder scored a great volley against Nottingham Forest. However, it has nothing on Stach’s goal.

Zubimendi’s strike hit the middle of the net, and the goalkeeper really should have saved it despite the curve.

In comparison, Stach’s strike was simply unsavable, and should have been given the award.

Instead, the Leeds midfielder was robbed of the award by the Premier League.

How good has Stach been for Leeds this season?

According to Fotmob on 10 October, Stach has had an outstanding season to date.

The midfielder is continuously creating chances, while also providing a threat in front of goal.

Now, the task for Daniel Farke will be to ensure that Stach can keep this up throughout the season.

If so, Leeds will be safe from Premier League relegation in no time.
