Leeds ready for deadline-busting Sean Longstaff deal amid Newcastle sale news
Leeds United look set to continue their interest in Sean Longstaff this summer.
The Whites have been linked to the 27-year-old for well over a year, with the rumour mill continuing to roll on into the current window.
After earning promotion to the Premier League, it is unsurprising that reinforcements are being heavily targeted early on in the summer.
This could see Daniel Farke look to make the LS11 interest count in Longstaff if a Newcastle United exit is on the cards.

Longstaff could agree Leeds United move
As it stands, the Yorkshire club are generally lacking options in the centre of the park after Joe Rothwell’s loan came to an end.
The 30-year-old has returned to Bournemouth, and there is no guarantee of the Englishman making a return to Elland Road in the top division.
As a result, the signing of Longstaff could prove to be ideal, but an approach may go all the way up to the deadline at St James’ Park.
Stat (Premier League 24/25) | Sean Longstaff |
Appearances | 25 |
Successful passes | 295 |
Tackles won | 16 |
Duels won | 42 |
This comes after The Chronicle reported on 10 June (page 43) that the 27-year-old holds all the cards over a potential Magpies exit.
Despite Eddie Howe wanting to keep the Englishman last summer, Everton and Leeds are now interested in his signature this time around.
With that being said, the Whites could wait until the window heats up in the latter stages before a decision is made by the midfielder in the North East.
There is every chance that the longer the window goes on, as Newcastle look to fight against PSR concerns, a move for Longstaff will become more likely.

Longstaff move hangs in the balance at Leeds United
With Ilia Gruev and Ao Tanaka, the LS11 club already have good quality in the centre of the pitch, but lack Premier League experience as it stands.
The addition of the Newcastle man could prove to be useful for not only the squad depth but the dressing room atmosphere in the top tier.
Whether he would welcome a move to Elland Road away from the Champions League and Newcastle is yet to be seen, but could prove to be a useful addition.
