Leeds have ‘no-brainer transfer decision’ to make on loanee amid £15m update

Leeds United will already have one eye on the summer transfer window with Championship promotion on the cards at Elland Road.

Heading into a crucial encounter with Sheffield United, Leeds will be fully aware of the boost their promotion chances would receive with a win.

The Whites would go five points clear at the summit of the Championship if that were to be the case and would have one foot back in the Premier League.

While there will be more twists along the way, planning will have already started ahead of the summer transfer window to ensure that they can prepare themselves as well as they possibly can.

With that in mind, they have one of the easiest transfer decisions to make.

Tottenham open to Manor Solomon sale

According to a report from GiveMeSport (23 February), Tottenham are open to sanctioning the permanent departure of Manor Solomon in the summer.

On the flip side, Leeds are also said to be keen on turning his loan into a permanent deal and if an agreement can be reached, it has to be one that they attack without question.

Solomon has been outstanding for Leeds this season and showcased his ability as an elite Championship-level player at the very least, with the potential to make the step up to the Premier League.

Spurs are said to be open to selling the winger for a fee between £10million and £15m and for that price, it is a no-brainer for the Whites.

A player of that quality is very rarely available for such a reasonable fee and if the Peacocks were to miss out on his signing, it would be a huge missed opportunity.

Leeds to begin summer preparation

While they aren’t fully aware of what league they will be competing in next season, planning simply has to have already started at Elland Road.

A failure to hit the ground running in the transfer window can often prove detrimental to hopes of avoiding relegation while forcing the club into making rash decisions towards the latter stages of it.

Solomon’s permanent addition would be a remarkable piece of business, but there is still plenty more that will need to be done at Leeds to ensure they can compete in the top flight.
