Leeds have green light for permanent Fabio Carvalho transfer as January approach considered

Leeds United could sign Fabio Carvalho when the transfer market reopens, but not on a loan deal.

MOT Leeds News revealed that the Whites were considering a January loan approach for Carvalho, who is among several options.

Daniel Farke‘s side are desperate for more attacking options, as their lack of firepower threatens to derail their progress in their first Premier League campaign in two years.

The Elland Road outfit may have a chance to sign the ex-Liverpool man on a permanent deal after a new update emerged.

Leeds can seal a permanent deal for Fabio Carvalho as Brentford transfer stance emerges

Marcelo Bielsa was a huge fan of Carvalho when he was Leeds manager, and the Peacocks could reignite their interest.

Now though, they could seal a transfer rather than a loan in January after Brentford’s stance on selling the 23-year-old emerged.

Florian Plettenberg claimed on 28 October that the Portugal Under-21 star will leave the Bees in the winter window, with a permanent sale being considered.

Carvalho can revive his career at Leeds

Carvalho is a technically gifted winger or number 10, but he has not enjoyed much success in the last few years, either with Liverpool or Brentford.

His time at Anfield was brief, with 21 appearances, before he was sold to the West London club for a £27.5million fee.

He has made seven appearances for the Bees this campaign, with just one start in the league, and will be desperate to play more.

His lack of minutes and contributions may be a concern, however, he will be determined to show that he has the talent to thrive in the top-flight.

Leeds need players who are hungry and who feel like they have something to prove, and he could challenge Brenden Aaronson for a place in Farke’s team.

That could improve both players, as they may bring the best out of each other, if they are fighting for the position.

It would be a gamble, given his struggles recently, but if it were to pay off and result in survival for the Whites, it would be well worth it.
