Leeds fans will be thrilled with what Daniel Farke has done ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

Anton Stach has rightfully been named back in Leeds’ starting line-up for Sunday’s relegation six-pointer against Nottingham Forest.

Daniel Farke is under increasing scrutiny, and worries over the ability to score away from home are exponentially increasing.

Jaka Bijol and Joe Rodon are partnered up again in central defence, and improvement is needed if Leeds want to register their second away win of the season at the City Ground.

Stach has been exceptional for Leeds this season, yet he has been named on the bench by Farke in the last two matches, getting a much-needed rest.

Leeds are expected to lose to Nottingham Forest, and it’s no surprise that he replaces Ao Tanaka in the heart of midfield as part of the two changes Farke has made to the side.

Anton Stach starts, Daniel Farke makes two changes

The German midfielder came on for Tanaka against Brighton and was far more imposing in the match.

Stach has been excellent at creating chances for Leeds, and his inclusion could be a huge benefit against a Forest side that hasn’t kept a clean sheet in the Premier League this season.

Tanaka was an incredible part of Leeds’ promotion-winning campaign; however, Stach‘s ability on the ball is on another level, and fans should be delighted he’s back in the team.

Since arriving from Hoffenheim in the summer transfer window, he has been one of the more impressive arrivals to have stamped their authority on the team.

Farke has made the right call ahead of the match, and now only time will tell if Stach can repay the faith that his manager has placed in him.

As for the other change, the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin makes way for Lukas Nmecha up front, with the England international on the bench at least.

The Peacocks have conceded 12 goals on the road this season, and Jayden Bogle had one of his worst games for Leeds in the 3-0 defeat to Brighton last time out.

Jayden Bogle must make amends after Brighton disaster

Bogle looked like a fish out of water against the Seagulls, with his sloppiness on the ball costing the team.

Usually a calming presence at right-back, Bogle made a mess of an attempted clearance and gave away possession to Georginio Rutter, who teed up Diego Gomez for the third.

Up against Forest’s Dan Ndoye on 9 November, Bogle will have to be incredibly sharp against a winger who possesses blistering pace.

The defensive unit will have to be switched on throughout the match, and Bogle will need to redeem himself with an assured performance for the Peacocks.

That could unleash the likes of Stach to push his side towards another much-needed three points.
