Leeds fans should be excited amid Alfie Walker and Man United news

Leeds United have reportedly completed the signing of Alfie Walker from Manchester United.

The 16-year-old, who has been with the Red Devils for nine years, will officially join up with the Whites in the summer.

Walker confirmed his departure from Man United on his Instagram, thanking the club for helping him get to where he is today.

He also added that he is excited for his next chapter and a new challenge, as he prepares for his switch to Leeds.

Walker is a Wales Under-17 international, having also represented his country at Under-16 and Under-15 level in the past.

The teenager plays most of his football at right-back but can sometimes be used in central midfield if required.

Despite the fact that he will see out the rest of the season at Man United, Walker has already made an appearance for Leeds Under-16s.

The Welshman featured against Liverpool in a trial game, getting himself on the scoresheet and impressing the Leeds coaching staff.

He is clearly an exciting young talent, and a player that Leeds fans will be hearing a lot about in the future.

Leeds continue Man United youth raid

It’s not the first time that Leeds have raided Man United’s youth ranks in the last month, after announcing the signing of Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher at the start of February.

The attacking midfielder, who was born in Leeds, returned to his home city after signing a deal that will keep him at the club until 2028.

Ibrovic-Fletcher who has been capped for Serbia at Under-19 level was part of the Under-18s set up at Manchester United before his move to Thorp Arch.

However, since joining Leeds he has made the step up to the Under-21s, as he continues his development.
