Leeds fans must accept Daniel Farke is right after what he said about brilliant star

Leeds United have enjoyed a bright enough start to life in the Premier League, at least in terms of points picked up.

The Whites have four points from four games. If they carry on at this rate, it would likely be enough to stay up, at least based on projections from recent seasons.

The major worry surrounding Daniel Farke’s side is in attack. They’ve only scored one league goal this season, and that came from the penalty spot on the opening day of the season.

Leeds are also trailing their Premier League rivals when it comes to shots on target.

Farke signed Dominic Calvert-Lewin late in the transfer window to boost his striking options, but they’ll need to score more often to have a real chance of beating the drop.

Daniel Farke insists he knows when to introduce Harry Gray into Leeds first team

Leeds’ troubles in front of goal have led to more calls for Harry Gray to be promoted to the first team.

The 16-year-old striker has been capturing attention in Leeds’ academy team, and he scored a hat-trick in their most recent game against Scunthorpe United.

Naturally then, the press have been asking Farke about Gray being used in the Premier League.

After being questioned about Gray in a press conference again on Thursday, Farke insisted he didn’t want to talk about the youngster.

He said: “You will see him once he’s prepared for Premier League games and then we can speak about him a bit more. Before he’s not back on the grass, I’m not willing to speak about him.”

Daniel Farke has all the credentials to make right call with Harry Gray

Farke is right to get frustrated by so many people questioning him about Gray or any other academy prospects.

After all, he has plenty of credentials when it comes to introducing young players into senior football at the right time.

So, it’s perhaps no surprise that he’s fed up with questions about his treatment of Harry Gray. The young prodigy likely needs more time training with the first team and games in the Under-21 side before he can begin to think about becoming a regular in the Premier League.

Farke is better placed than anyone to know when he’ll be ready.
